You forgot Baltimore: 26, 13, 18. How did you end-up noticing Cleveland's scheduling quirk. Was it something you thought of beforehand before you checked the standings.
ReplyDeleteDarn, I did forget the Orioles. Shouldn't do that kind of stuff after 10 PM, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI follow the Tribe pretty closely, so I knew they had only played 3 games against the West (they were swept in Arlington in the season opening series). But it wasn't until I was looking at the standings that I saw that no other AL team was within 7 games.
When interleague play ends on June 28, Cleveland will have played 18 games against the NL Central and still just 3 against the AL West. They will not reach 18 games against the AL West until they host Texas on August 12, and will not exceed it until the next day.
