Did you ever think that the software might need to wait for confirmation that the run is indeed charged to that pitcher? That's how I'd write the program. I'm sure these displays don't last more than a few seconds.
Sure, but I'd be a lot more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and not poke fun were it not for the frequent issues they have which persist even after the game is over. Some of the other entries in this series are from hours after the game ended.
